Viewing Transactions
The View Transactions Screen enables you to view your completed transactions in Simfonie. This screen can be accessed by selecting Transactions link from the Subscriber Hub.
Simfonie supports the following types of m-commerce transactions for Subscribers:
Top-up
The Mobile Top Up service allows Subscribers with a pre-pay account to Top Up their own mobile phone airtime balance or Top up another Subscriber's mobile phone airtime balance.
Bill Payment
Subscriber's can pay bills from their handset, using bill payment templates or bill payment reminders set from the Simfonie Web Interface. Subscribers can also perform "free-form" bill payment, wherein they select a Merchant to pay from a list of Merchant Billers from their handset.
However, this method of bill payment requires the Subscriber to enter additional data, similar to the data captured in a Bill Payment Template, e.g. Payment Instrument, Payment Amount and Account Number with the Biller.
Product Purchase
Simfonie supports Product Purchase which enables Subscribers and Merchants to initiate and confirm product purchase transactions through the use of mobile devices. When the Subscriber initiates the product purchase, the Merchant must confirm the product purchase. Similarly, when a Merchant initiates the Product Purchase, the Subscriber must confirm the product purchase.
To confirm a product purchase, the initiator sends an SMS message to the other party which contains details of the product purchase transaction. The other party must then also respond via SMS message to proceed or reject the transaction.
Remittance Payment
Simfonie supports Remittance Payment which enables Subscribers to transfer funds to individuals either in the same country or in another country by using the services of various Mobile Phone Carriers and Agencies.
The Subscriber can enter the beneficiary details on their handset and make an immediate Remittance Payment. Subscribers who have setup beneficiary details on the Simfonie Web Interface can select a beneficiary from a list presented on their mobile phone.
Note that in all of the above transactions, the Subscriber needs to specify a Payment Instrument to use, in order to execute the payment and complete the transaction.
The View Transactions Screen enables Subscribers to search for transactions by entering search criteria, in any of the following search fields:
- Transaction ID
- External Reference
- Mobile Telephone Number
- Date Range
- Merchant
Note: Subscribers cannot search for a transaction by status. Only completed transactions are displayed.

Date Range, From - To
- If a 'From' date is entered, then populate the 'To' field with the same value upon leaving the field.
- If a 'From' field has been specified and no equivalent 'To' field has been specified, then default the 'To' field to be the same as the 'From'.
Amount Range, From - To (Inclusive, Exclusive)
- Identifies whether to query on the 'inclusive' amount or the 'exclusive' amount. The default selection it 'Exclusive' of taxes or additional charges
- If a 'From' amount is entered, then populate the 'To' field with the same value upon leaving the field.
- If a 'From' field has been specified and no equivalent 'To' field has been specified, then default the 'To' field to be the same as the 'From'.

Sort Criteria

Display search results according to your preferences. Select the field on which you want to sort and then select the order in which you want the results to be displayed, ascending or descending.
Alternatively, you can sort the results without performing another search, by clicking a sortable column heading to change the sort order from ascending or descending. Sortable Headings are underlined in the table heading and the order (ascending or descending) is indicated by an arrow to the right of the column name.

Search Results
Search results are shown below the search fields. The following table lists the information displayed in the results pane.

To view transaction details
You must be logged on to Simfonie to be able to view your Transactions.
- Click the
Transactions link from the Subscriber Hub. The View Transactions Screen is then displayed. - Perform a search by entering search data in the search fields, the Search Results are then displayed.
- Click the
ID Number for the transaction you want to view in the Transaction ID column. The Transaction Details Screen is then displayed, which enables you to view the details of a transaction.
