Change Payment Instrument Status

Over time, a payment instrument may become Inactive or Closed. Simfonie enables you to change the status of a payment instrument as required. The Change Payment Instrument Status Screen enables you to change the status of a payment instrument.

The following table displays the changes that can be made.

Change the status of a payment instrument

  1. Click the Change Status button from the Maintain Payment Instrument Screen. The Change Payment Instrument Status Screen is then displayed.
  2. Select the new status for the payment instrument from the New Status drop-down list. The options available on the drop-down list, depends on the current status of the account.
  3. Enter the reason for the status change and then click the Save button. Simfonie then validates and updates the status of the payment instrument.
