Searching
Throughout Simfonie, search fields enable you to search for a group or a specific item; such as, a transaction.
The following table describes the options available when searching.

Search for a record stored in the system.

Enables you to clear all search fields and search results; that is, all search fields and search results are cleared from the screen.
To clear the search results after performing a search:
- Click the
Clear button to clear all fields and search results.The screen is refreshed, allowing you to perform a new search.

Sort Criteria

Display search results according to your preferences. Select the field on which you want to sort and then select the order in which you want the results to be displayed, ascending or descending.
Alternatively, you can sort the results without performing another search, by clicking a sortable column heading to change the sort order from ascending or descending. Sortable Headings are underlined in the table heading and the order (ascending or descending) is indicated by an arrow to the right of the column name.

Scrolling Through Records
The number of items found are displayed at the top of the table and Simfonie provides tools for you to scroll through records:
- Click the
icon to display the first page of results. - Click the
icon to display the previous page of results. - Click the
icon to display the next page of results. - Click the
icon to display the last page of results.
To change the number of results shown per page, select the number of items to view per page in the Page Size drop down list.
View a listing of the results
Simfonie enables you to produce a listing of the search results in CSV, Excel, or PDF format.
To produce a report of the results:
- Click the
icon to produce a CSV report of the search results. - Click the
icon to produce an Excel report of the search results. - Click the
icon to produce a PDF report of the search results.
